Every wedding photographer has a journey, and for me, Tania and Marshall’s wedding marked a significant milestone in my career. Although it wasn’t my very first wedding, it was one of the first that I shot professionally. As I reflect on their special day from Circa 2016, I can’t help but notice the growth and learning that has taken place since then. Join me as I take a stroll down memory lane.

Tania’s Mother-in-Law: A Blessing in Disguise

One of the standout memories from Tania and Marshall’s wedding was the role played by Tania’s mother-in-law. She took on the role of coordinator and planner for the wedding, and working alongside her was an absolute blessing. Her dedication and attention to detail ensured that everything ran smoothly, making it a pleasure to capture the day’s precious moments.

Getting Ready at the Westin Downtown Charlotte

The day began with the girls getting ready at the luxurious Westin downtown Charlotte. As a photographer, I marveled at the elegance and beauty that surrounded us. It was the perfect setting to capture the anticipation and excitement in the air.

The Intimate St. Mary’s Chapel

The wedding ceremony took place in a small, historic chapel called St. Mary’s Chapel. Due to its rich history, the chapel was cozy and intimate, creating a warm atmosphere for the couple and their guests. The small size of the chapel allowed for a deeply personal and emotional ceremony.

The Big Chill: A Reception to Remember

After the heartfelt ceremony, the celebration continued at the Big Chill. However, what made their reception truly unforgettable was the couple’s grand entrance. Tania and Marshall’s first entry was nothing short of amazing – they literally emerged from the floor! This unique and dramatic entrance set the tone for a night of fun, excitement, and unforgettable memories.

Tania and Marshall’s wedding in 2016 holds a special place in my heart. It was one of the early weddings in my professional journey, and looking back, I see the growth and learning that has shaped my career. The wedding was a beautiful blend of personal touches, an intimate chapel ceremony, and a reception filled with surprises. It serves as a reminder that each wedding is a unique story, and it’s a privilege to be part of capturing these moments of love and celebration.
